🎯 OBJECTIVE

Future goal: To become a professional who promotes emotional wellbeing in hospitalized children.

Related Sustainable Development Goal (SDG): SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being.

Plan of action:

• Assessment: Short emotional wellness surveys or drawings before and after each activity.

• Activities: Mobile therapeutic play workshops for hospitalized children.

• Resources: Collaboration with child psychologists and volunteers; donation of safe and creative materials.

• Timeline: One workshop every two weeks over a six-month period.

• Design model: Backward Design, focusing first on the objective (“improve emotional expression in hospitalized children”) and creating activities that support it.

🤝 CONTRIBUTIONS

Activity 1 – Children’s Day toy event:
I helped prepare, sort, and deliver toys to hospitalized children on Children’s Day. I made sure each toy was in good condition and matched the child’s needs or preferences. Seeing their excitement and joy was unforgettable.

Activity 2 – Bedside visit:
One day, I noticed a girl who couldn’t leave her hospital bed. I brought art materials and toys to her bedside and spent time playing with her. We laughed and created together, and even though she couldn’t move much, we shared a powerful moment of happiness and care.

💪 STRENGTHS

My personal strengths:

1. Empathy: Helped me connect emotionally with hospitalized children and understand their feelings and needs.

2. Initiative: I was always willing to go beyond what was expected, looking for ways to make a positive impact.

3. Teamwork: I worked effectively with staff and other volunteers to organize meaningful activities.

Strengths of the beneficiaries (children at the hospital):

1. Resilience: Despite being hospitalized, they remained cheerful and eager to participate.

2. Creativity: They used their imagination to play and express themselves in challenging conditions.

3. Capacity for connection: They built emotional bonds quickly, making every interaction deeply meaningful.

Combined impact: My initiative and empathy, along with the children's resilience and creativity, helped us create moments of joy and emotional connection—especially during the Children’s Day event and bedside play sessions.
